Boy & Bear - Limit Of Love Tour

Australian indie folk-rock band Boy and Bear are all set to show you just how to tear up the limits of love, as they hit Australian Regions this November through December off the back of their album, Limit Of Love.

The 20-date mammoth tour will kick off in Ballarat, then will make its way to Bendigo, Geelong, Wodonga, Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Mackay, Cairns, Townsville, Albany, Metricup, Perth, Orange, Canberra and Wollongong. Newcastle will see the final show for the tour.

Fresh from a stellar set at Splendour in the Grass, the five- time ARIA award winners released their third studio album Limit Of Love last year. The LP, met with rave reviews, was recorded in the inspirational surroundings of Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studio.

The album focuses on a band at the height of their powers in an honest, organic way rather than on fine-tuning everything to the nth-degree. It’s a scary approach for most modern bands, but for Boy & Bear, that leap of faith has proven to be a very successful masterstroke.

In fact, Boy & Bear have just announced a new edition of this #1 ARIA charting album to coincide with their regional tour. The new version adds 10 new live tracks from across the Boy & Bear catalogue, recorded in Sydney this year at the band’s sold-out Horden Pavilion show.

Walk the Wire, which was the first single from the album, was instantly added to triple J (reaching #1 Most Played) and continues to be supported by the National Broadcaster as well as the Triple M Network. In addition, the accompanying video has become a band favourite, mainly because of its hilarious and somewhat out-of-character quality. Their second single, Limit Of Love, also collected support and airplay from triple j.

Excited to be hitting the road after this year playing a number of major festivals and shows across Australia, USA, Canada, Europe and the UK, Killian Gavin (vocals, guitar), enthuses, “We'll be changing it up night to night really, often the venue depicts what kind of show we will go for. A nice noisy pub makes a great rock show while the intimate theatres allow a lot more room for dynamics and banter. Keeps us on our toes and stops us from being repetitive…It's been a long time coming for us, this regional run. But we always love playing to as many local cities as we can, it takes time to get back there but we're looking forward to it”.

Boy & Bear have also announced a special collaboration with Akasha Brewing Company, creating an exceptional brew called All Australian Ale (AAA), which will be exclusively available at the upcoming shows on Boy & Bear’s tour. All proceeds will be going towards the charity Buy a Bale, helping to support rural Australian communities and farmers.

In addition, Parlour Gigs and Wonderlick are giving you the chance to win an all-expenses-paid Parlour gig, performed by Boy & Bear themselves. Parlour brings the magic of live music into your home, they connect hosts with artists and empowers them to create one-of-a-kind entertainment experiences together. To celebrate the end of the tour in December, Boy & Bear will perform a special, intimate show in NSW Central Coast. You can win this exclusive acoustic set from Boy & Bear just for you and your mates.

Boy & Bear will be supported by four-part indie-folk group All Our Exes Live In Texas.
