After wowing a crowd of 25,000 punters with her surprise appearance at this year's Splendour In The Grass, Australian pop music icon Tina Arena is headed for a mammoth national tour this September to October in celebration of her 40th anniversary as a recording artist.

The 'Innocence To Understanding Tour' will see Tina Arena perform her thick catalogue of hits kicking off at The Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane, then will make her way to The Star Gold Coast, Empire Theatres in Towoomba and Civic Theatre Newcastle. Fans in Victoria need not wait long 'cause performances at Ulumbarra Theatre in Bendigo, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and Deakin University will immediately follow. Next stop will be Wollongong's WIN Entertainment Centre, International Convention Centre Sydney and Canberra Theatre Centre. From the north, the tour will go southbound for shows at the Princess Theatre in Launceston, Theatre Royal in Hobart and Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide. Tina Arena will cap the tour at the Crown Theatre in Perth.

A singer, songwriter, record producer, theatre actess—Tina Arena has done it all. Little did everyone know that who was called "Tiny Tina" in her early days in the industry would grow into a world class diva, influencing and touching the hearts of people from all over the world with her music. In fact, she has sold over 10 million records across the globe and every album she has released has gone either gold, platinum or multi-platinum. Her 1994 album "Don't Ask" reached a record-breaking 14x Platinum certification, making it one of Australia's biggest selling albums of all time.

In 2015, Arena became an ARIA Hall of Famer. The following year, she was awarded the Order of Australia with Governor-General of Australia Sir Peter Cosgrove pinning her medal at a ceremony in Paris. She has also shared the stage with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli and Donna Summer and collaborated with the world's biggest DJs.
