Air Supply – Orchestral
A full supply of emotions will swirl across Australia next year with the return on the roads of one of the country's most loved and successful musical exports, Air Supply. They will perform their greatest hits in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth in April. After the AU dates, they will fly to New Zealand for a one-off concert in Auckland.
Backed by their top-notch band and a 20-piece orchestra, the duo will be giving a sumptuous spin on their all-time classics such as 'Lost In Love', 'Love and Other Bruises' and 'All Out Of Love' to name a few. These will be very special nights with some of the most beautiful love songs ever written.
Air Supply's albums 'Lost In Love', 'The One That You Love', 'Now & Forever', and 'The Greatest Hits' have sold more than 40 million while their singles have sold over 10 million copies worldwide. 'Lost in Love' was named Song of the Year in 1980 and has achieved multi-million plays on the radio along with 'Lost in Love', 'All Out Of Love', 'The One That You Love', 'Sweet Dreams', and 'Making Love Out Of Nothing At All'.
Russell Hitchcock met Graham Russell each other on the first day of rehearsals as chorus members in the 1975 Sydney Harry M Miller production of Jesus Christ Superstar. They were drawn together through a mutual love of music, singing and The Beatles, when they quickly learnt they had both seen The Fab Four perform in concert in 1964.
It was not long before the musical duo dominated charts in Australia, New Zealand and the world. Clive Davies famously signed them to Arista Records and in 1980, their US domination began. With a string of international hits, they became global superstars.
Their unique harmonies combined with Graham's knack for writing exceptional songs made them one of Australia's first and most successful musical acts. Russell and Graham have been thrilling audiences for more than four decades now. Their songs have stood the test of time and continue to be heard on radio around the world.
In 2013, the duo were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Meanwhile, October 2018 saw the world premiere in Manila of 'All Out of Love', a new musical featuring the iconic music of Air Supply, which opened to rave reviews.
Peak at the dates below and don't miss Air Supply filling the autumn air next year with an orchestral take on their heart-warming love songs!
